La Carpa de la Cultura de Arguineguín , is organized by the Department of Youth, Culture and Celebrations of the City of Mogan in collaboration with the Cabildo of Gran Canaria and Performing Arts Circuit Gran Canaria, and they aim to bring leisure and alternative culture to citizens.
This project is part of the Neighbourhood Programme 2014 tour to the various towns of the municipality during the year .
If you have visited Gran Canaria before or are living here, you know it seem to always be a fiesta of some sort down here.
In Arguineguín and Puerto de Mogán the Fiestas del Carmen in July are very important. This is when the local residents take the statue of the Virgin Mary in a maritime procession from one end of the coastline of the municipality to the other, with a multitude of boats specially decorated for the occasion following the procession.
And THIS year it is the 100 anniversary. ( 1913 – 2013 )
However, DO NOT MISS the famous water parade “Bajada de la Rama ” on Saturday 20th July !!!!!!! Meet up at the park PINO SECO in Arguineguin (the street down from Hiper Dino ) at 18:00 o´clock ! Bring some drinks and prepare to get WET !!!
